ABOUT THE GAME
Chinese Chess - Cyber Arcade Xiang Qi pairs the familiar Chinese chess board with a vivid arcade presentation. The river, palace markings and Chinese-character pieces remain at the centre of the experience, framed by neon colours and a dark backdrop.
Online multiplayer puts another player on the other side of the board. Invite a friend to open the game, choose Online Match and follow the in-game setup to play together. Study each other’s moves, anticipate the next reply and build a friendly rivalry one match at a time.

PLAN YOUR NEXT MOVE
Look across the whole board before focusing on one piece. Consider what your opponent threatens, what your move leaves exposed and whether your pieces can support each other.
If you are new to Xiang Qi, treat your first matches as practice. Learn the movement of each piece and take time to understand why a position changed after your opponent’s reply.
BEFORE YOU PLAY
How do I play with a friend?
Both players should open the game and choose Online Match. Follow the on-screen match setup to connect and play together.
Can I practise alone?
Yes. Use the AI option when you want to learn the pieces or practise before a multiplayer match.
Is this the same as Western chess?
Xiang Qi is Chinese chess, with its own board, pieces and movement rules. Familiarity with other chess games is useful, but check the instructions rather than assuming the rules are identical.
Will I leave Whooo?
The game opens in a new tab. This page stays available so you can return to the directory after your match.
